Yanagishima, or “Willow Island,” was situated north of Kameido Tenjin Shrine where the Kitajukken River intersects with the Yokojikken River. Yanagishima Bridge can be seen on the right. Next to it is Hashimoto, a famous kaiseki restaurant. Across the span, Myokendo Temple—its red walls prominent—had no shortage of visitors, and was especially popular with entertainers.
